Hey there, you really must be curious about me. Anyways, I’m Rightson, you prolly know that by now.

Where should I start? Well, let’s start in high school. I went to Chavakali High School in Western. Was well... bad good, can’t complain. I would say my foundation in tech started there. Did computer studies, was quite a waste of time. I mean, it did help a bit, but generally, most of it was a waste of time. I would be thankful though.

I completed Chavakali in 2021. Was supposed to complete in 2020 but COVID happened. Was at home for like 7 months. Went back to school and I doubt if I could even write my name by then. I mean, was home for seven months dawg, what do you expect?

Anyways, read like never before. KCSE came, did what I had to do. Slept during the biology paper because I didn’t want to be a doctor. It was either Computer Science, Chemical Engineering or off a building.

Passed very well, got a B+. You know how much you have to read to get a B+? Not that much, but I got a B+.

Then went to university. Remember I had got a job by then. I won’t mention the job for reputation purposes, but wanted to defer. But well, I was too young to make that decision. So Riara came. I had never heard of Riara honestly, only heard of it during university selection and only chose it because, well, I got a B+ and no other school in Nairobi would accept me. Plus didn’t want to go outside Nairobi. Hell no. Hell no. I hate Nairobi, but where else? Where else in Kenya can I find this rowdy, dirty and unlivable place with a couple of opportunities for people like me?

Anyways, so Riara, right? 2021 October.

I have to cry first.

The first few months were hell. Felt like I didn’t fit in honestly. Used to live in Ngara by then, would commute to school. Most of my classes were online, means I also interacted only with a handful of people.

Although this was a blessing in disguise. Made me start learning to code, and I put everything in. By second year, I was Head of Internal Affairs, RU ITECH. The third year, Head of Club. Then fourth year, the Student Representative, School of Computing. And here I am, almost graduating.

What are my future plans, you ask? Prolly create multiple SAAS, have a successful startup, have a Kibo 160R, go for multiple vacations, hikes, yeah, and money. Lots of money. I love money. I mean, that’s why I do tech, the reason I’m even writing this blog. I hate writing.
